Welcome to my second website! Since my original website www.combslong.com is loaded to the brim with classroom resources and vital information, I decided to add a second website. This website is geared toward Advanced Placement English Language and Composition and Purdue North West's Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP). I have moved the majority of the resources for AP/CEP to this page as well as other items concerning college, college preparation, and the AP, SAT, and ACT exams. My other classes can access still information on my original website www.combslong.weebly.com. And do not forget to visit North Newton's home page at www.nn.k12.in.us/.
The banner picture on this page is Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts. As many of my students know, Walden Pond is where Henry David Thoreau spent two years, two months, two weeks, and two days pontificating the meaning of life using Nature as a vehicle. Albeit a rather tedious book to read, Walden is pivotal to the environmental movement we know today. As a summer reading choice, AP/CEP students have the option to read No Impact Man. This book entails the dangers the environment is facing as a result of our "use it and toss it" attitude concerning Earth's resources.
